After much speculation, John Frusciante's record label has revealed via Invisible Movement that he'll be releasing a five track EP titled Letur Lefr on July 9th 2012. John will also extend his creative abilities to creating the EP's Cover Artwork. The EP will be his first solo release since The Empyrean from 2009.

Great news! I hope though that we'll get to hear at least one song from the EP before the release, before that I wouldn't get TOO excited. Who knows what it's gonna sound like? I have a feeling that Letur-Lefr is going to be completely different from John's previous work.
