u2 did that back in the 90's and that didnt go that well(they ran out of time and had to go to ireland and then go to the concerts)
John wrote some amazing songs on tour and while recording another album, so I think it wouldn't be hard to do the two in the same context. Besides, touring gives them time to jam so if they really like one jam they can make it a song.
And, the band said they were saving IWY material for the next album, that's why there aren't any b-sides
Edit: I'm guessing the postponed dates mean that later the band will have to travel alot to accommodate both the US and Europe tours.

are tickets refundable? I can't fly back to LA in August for the rescheduled show. FACK!

you should ask ticketmaster.com or wherever you bought the tickets.

That's right, they'll just honor the original tickets at the new date, name on tickets isn't important.
