These guys has been around for 25 or 26 years, they've worked hard to get where they are so as long as it's just a break I'm okey with it. Sure, I would, as much as anyone, want them to release a new album yesterday, but they're just human, and creativity is something that can't always be given on request.

So I'm actually happy they're taking a break to make sure they don't work themselves to death, I'm sure that when they are ready they'll give us a great album.

Although I'd love to hear John's reaction to this quote, for the time being that is enough to make me happy, although personally I just didn't really feel like they were splitting anyway, for whatever reason.

This is a statement from an interview that Chad Smith has given for British Q Magazine and it can be found in the issue 275.
