Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer recently stopped by the Fender Custom Shop in Corona, California to pick up five of his guitars which Fender Master Builder Jason Smith was working on for him.

Josh Klinghoffer left with four 1960 Fender Stratocasters and a ’69 Strat that he is using in the studio and on the Red Hot Chili Peppers current tour.
Blackie Dammett, father of Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman, Anthony Kiedis has just published Lords of the Sunset Strip, a no-holds-barred account of his explosive lifestyle and wild times with some of the world’s biggest celebrities and musicians on L.A’s Sunset Strip.
Blackie’s memoire also tells of his unconventional father-son relationship with Anthony Kiedis and shares previously unheard of stories about the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Lords of the Sunset Strip is currently available as a Kindle eBook and can be purchased from Amazon. You don’t need to have a Kindle to read it as Amazon provides a free reader application which can be run on PCs, Smartphones and Tablets.

The Gorburger Show features oddball interviews with bands, musicians, and celebrities. The premise of the show being that Gorburger is an alien (Played by T.J. Miller) from outer space that has invaded Xoom Xoom, a Japanese TV Network which he now uses to host his own talk show.
Fuel TV Australia’s “The Crew” TV Show recently paid a visit to Anthony Kiedis at his Malibu Home and messed around with his home entertainment system. The footage is featured in Episode 3 of the TV Show, which originally aired on Feb 24th, 2013 at 9pm EDT on Fuel TV’s cable and satellite channel.

The Crew’s Macario De Souza aka ‘Kid Mac’ described meeting Anthony Kiedis… “Anthony Kiedis was awesome. We all got the opportunity to go up to his house at Malibu and show him the rough cut of the film. I couldn’t speak, I was so nervous because I was just… I loved him, and the boys were baggin me.”
The Crew is a no-holds-barred look into the life of three best mates from the ’burbs as they struggle to break free from the shackles of troubled childhoods and realise their dreams. The story focuses on the lives of aspiring musician Kid Mac, big wave surfer Mark Mathews and would-be MMA fighter Richie ‘Vas’ Vaculik, the trio taking viewers on a rollercoaster ride of terrifying highs and devastating lows.

30 Years of Funk
The Red Hot Chili Peppers played their first live tour concert 30 YEARS ago TODAY! On February 13th, 1983, frontman Anthony Kiedis, Bass Guitarist Flea (Michael Balzary), Lead Guitarist Hillel Slovak and Drummer Jack Irons treated 30 spectators to their inimitable dose of adolescent funk rap, sex punk fusion at the Rhythm Lounge in Hollywood, California.

The original lineup first came together at L.A.’s Fairfax High School, where they formed the band under the short-lived name of Tony Flow and the Miraculously Majestic Masters of Mayhem. Anthony Kiedis first started as an introductory MC for his friends previous bands, but on this occassion he would join Flea, Hillel and Jack on stage.

Posca Artist Caspian de Looze was commissioned by Warner Music’s Australian division to design the four longboards for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The boards feature design elements from the I’m With You album cover (designed by Damien Hirst) and the I’m With You B-Sides cover artwork (designed by Kelsey Brookes).
Sydney based videographer Bryan Dalli filmed Caspian over three days as he illustrated each of the boards. Check out the design process below…

Contemplating their impending 45-Day Australian tour, Flea said, “Sometimes, it honestly does kind of trip me out. Not that it feels strange; it feels the same as ever in terms of the hope and potential that lies ahead and the burning desire to try and be better at what we do, but …in terms of the world of youth culture and music, we’re not very kids any more. But my enthusiasm hasn’t dampened one modicum of an iota.”
Anthony Kiedis described touring as “Feeling terrified with a hard-on”.
In a recent interview with ABC News Radio, Chad Smith revealed the Red Hot Chili Peppers will most likely start working on their eleventh studio album sometime in the middle of 2013…
“We’re playing up until April of next year and then we’re gonna take a little break and then we’ll start writing songs,” said Chad Smith on October 16th, 2012.

Speaking about the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ current I’m With You tour, Chad Smith added that he’s happy about the bands’ recent decision to sell digital downloads of all their concerts on the official Red Hot Chili Peppers website.
“I think we’re a really, really explosive live band so to document those shows is great. Mistakes, they’re on there…but we take chances. We take musical risks and that’s what I want to see out of an artist and out of a musician.”

LA can be brutal.
What am I doing here? Why am I so far from home, living in an area primarily dominated by people trying to be famous? The stereotypes far too often ring true.
But when I arrived at Flea’s Los Feliz house a few hours before his 50th birthday party and The Silverlake Conservatory of Music Fundraiser began, I had a feeling I’d remember everything I love about the sometimes seemingly morally decrepit city.
This place can be magical. Here I am about to get a chance to spend an equal amount of time as Rolling Stone and CNN with one of the most legendary and charismatic bass players of all time, discussing a subject he actually wants to talk about.
And that’s just it. Seconds after meeting him, it became very apparent how near and dear the Silverlake Conservatory of Music was to the overwhelmed Flea.
“Anything worth doing good takes a little chaos,” he told me.
