Anthony Kiedis, Flea and Chad Smith have all recently announced that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be releasing eighteen new songs/I’m With You B-Sides on 7 inch Vinyl and Digital Format over the next 6 months!
During the Red Hot Chili Peppers Concert in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 26th, Anthony Kiedis said, “We gotta storm of seven inches coming out over the next six months. Keep one eye open.” See Anthony’s announcement on the following YouTube Video from the show.

Then, on May 27th, Chad Smith announced on Twitter that at least 10 I’m With You B-Sides would be released. “Hi! Over the next 6 months at least 10 more IWU b sides I promise!”

Chad then went on to clarify that the B-Sides would be released on 7 Inch Vinyl and Digital Format. “7 inch vinyl and digital..stay tuned”

Shortly after, on May 29th, Flea stated on Twitter that there will be a total of EIGHTEEN new songs released! Ten of which are I’m With You B-Sides based on Chad’s announcement, whereas the origins of the other eight tracks are uncertain. Flea also revealed the band have been writing new songs while on tour.

On June 9th, Chad Smith took to his smartphone app to answer fans’ questions. In reply to a question, Chad revealed that the Red Hot Chili Peppers would start releasing the eighteen new songs in sets of two songs at a time on 7″ Vinyl and Digital Format, starting in August, 2012. He also revealed that one of the B-Sides is called “Strange Man”.

Never Is A Long Time – Another I’m With You B-Side
Another B-Side that will be released as one of the eighteen songs is called “Never Is A Long Time”. The title first appeared on the back of Josh Klinghoffer’s Custom RHCP Jacket during the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on April 14th, 2012. Chad then later confirmed on twitter that it was the name of a song that wasn’t released… yet.
