Flea runs the Los Angeles Marathon on March 18th 2012

Flea ran the Los Angeles Marathon for the second time on March 18th, 2012. He crossed the finish line with a time of 3:41:49 – improving on his time of 3:53:00 from the previous L.A. Marathon on March 20th, 2011!

Flea completes the 2012 L.A. Marahon with a time of 3 hours, 41 minutes and 49 seconds

Speaking on Twitter the day after the Marathon, Flea said, “Running a marathon is the closest feeling to being on acid without actual LSD consumption that I know of”. He also tweeted a photo of himself with his friend Jim Chaney shortly after crossing the finish line.

A brief history of the L.A. Marathon
The LA Marathon (formerly known as the City of Los Angeles Marathon) is an annual running event which takes place each spring in Los Angeles, California. The 26.219 mile (42.195 km) marathon was inspired by the success of the Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games in 1984 and has been held there every year since 1986. The 27th edition of the marathon took place on March 18th 2012. The Los Angeles marathon is currently sponsored by Honda.
