Anthony Kiedis arrives at the Los Angeles Lakers vs Portland Trail Blazers Basketball Game at the Staples Center in L.A. on February 20th, 2012. Anthony arrived on crutches with his right foot still braced after recently undergoing surgery to correct an ongoing injury he sustained by jumping off of Chad Smith’s bass drum during the Stadium Arcadium Tour. Thankfully he is expected to make a full recovery.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers I’m With You Tour in 2012 has been postponed to allow Anthony’s foot to heal. The rescheduled tour will begin on March 29th at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Florida.
On January 20th, 2012, Anthony Kiedis’ mother, Peggy Noble Idema spoke to the Grand Rapids press about his injury. “All considered, he’s doing very well. He hasn’t complained at all – except he’s unable to surf!! So, keep your fingers crossed that he heals quickly. I’m hoping he settles down a bit on the stage to preserve that much needed foot. I hope the fans can accept that!”
