The Mars Volta’s Omar Rodriguez-Lopez briefly spoke about John Frusciante in a new interview published in the March 2012 issue of the Spanish version of RollingStone Magazine. The Mars Volta’s sixth studio album, Noctourniquet is released on March 27th, 2012 and is their first album not to feature John.

RollingStone: How is he [John Frusciante]? He had a lot of issues with drugs.
Omar Rodriguez-Lopez: Very good since he left the Chili Peppers. Recently he composed about 300 or 400 songs. People think he disappeared but it’s not like that. He doesn’t care about editing albums or playing live. We connect a lot.
