I’m With You nominated for Best Rock Album Grammy Award 2012
The Red Hot Chili Peppers tenth studio album, I’m With You has been nominated for Best Rock Album for the 54th annual Grammy Awards, which will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 12th, 2012. The 54th Grammy Awards will also be televised on CBS on February 12th, 2012 at 8pm EST.
Also nominated alongside the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the Best Rock Album Grammy Award are Jeff Beck with Rock ‘N’ Roll Party Honoring Les Paul, Foo Fighters with Wasting Light, Kings Of Leon with Come Around Sundown and Wilco with The Whole Love.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been awarded seven Grammys in the past, some of which were “Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group” for Dani California and “Best Rock Album” for Stadium Arcadium at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards in 2006, and “Best Hard Rock Performance With Vocal” for Give It Away at the 35th Annual Grammy Awards in 1992.
Grammys are awarded via a voting process by the Recording Academy voting members, who are professionals with creative or technical credits on six commercially released tracks (or their equivalent). These may include vocalists, conductors, songwriters, composers, engineers, producers, instrumentalists, arrangers, art directors, album notes writers, narrators, and music video artists and technicians.
